For cell phones' camera lens, fewer moving parts

New technology can reportedly adjust the focus on a cell phone camera without the need for moving parts, according to a report that details a Silicon Valley startup's plans. LensVector has developed tiny transparent parts so that no mechanical parts are built into the phones' auto-focus systems, the company said, adding that it believes the technology will enable auto-focus to become a standard feature on all handsets.
