Chesapeake chief sees hard times ahead for global shale-gas ventures

Oil majors seeking to develop shale-gas lands overseas could be faced with challenges including infrastructure availability, Chesapeake Energy CEO Aubrey McClendon said. "I don't see the world being swamped by shale gas in the next 10 years," he added. Aside from infrastructure, companies need indigenous demand for the resource and favorable commercial conditions to succeed, McClendon said.
