Hockey is used to teach maths concepts in New Brunswick, Canada

Members of a Canadian major junior hockey team visited a New Brunswick middle school recently to participate in Get Fanatical About Math -- an annual programme that uses hockey to help primary- and middle-school students understand maths concepts. During one maths game, students used division, addition, multiplication, integers and square roots to arrive at a player's jersey number.
