Ill. RN honored for work on breast cancer screening bill

The Illinois Legislature honored Chicago registered nurse Janice Phillips for her advocacy in gaining passage of the Reducing Breast Cancer Disparities Act. The legislation seeks to reduce barriers that prevent low-income women from getting breast cancer screening and sets up patient navigation programs.
