Marlins stadium moves ahead, producing jobs for Miami

The Florida Marlins are progressing with their new state-of-the-art stadium as workers lifted track beams that support the roof into position. The project is being hailed as the first LEED-certified stadium in the nation and is expected to be finished by 2012. The stadium, which will have a retractable roof, has also been a boost for local employment, as 30% of the workers are from Miami and 64% are from Miami-Dade County.
