Navy 30-year fleet plan calls for ramp-up in ship production

A new fleet plan sent from the Navy to accompany President Barack Obama's fiscal 2011 budget makes the previous goal of a 313-ship fleet just a "point of departure" for developing a new fleet and calls for a ramping up in the production of ships. The Pentagon also submitted a 30-year aviation plan for the Air Force and Navy.
