New turf at Rogers Centre could boost revenue

The Toronto Blue Jays replaced their FieldTurf at Rogers Centre with AstroTurf. Officials hope the change will cut down on maintenance and conversion time so that other events can be booked around baseball and football games to boost revenue. It takes about 40 hours to remove about 1,400 trays of artificial grass for FieldTurf, whereas AstroTurf comes in 90 long rolls and the conversion process takes roughly half the time.
