People with high levels of dopamine crave stimulating activities

Danish and Japanese researchers found that people with high levels of dopamine in their brains were more inclined than others to crave new and stimulating activities. PET scans also showed that dopamine in these people was active in more brain areas than normal. This could easily lead to development of addictions, such as to drug use and gambling, since these would satisfy the craving for stimulation, the researchers said.
