Retailers seek wage change for Bangladesh garment workers

Hennes & Mauritz, Wal-Mart and other leading global retailers have written a letter to Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina urging her to increase the minimum wages of the country's garment workers. "We request the Government of Bangladesh urgently form a review board and address the minimum wage issue in the garment sector with a built in mechanism of a yearly review," the letter said.
