TDI production to end at Dow's Texas plant

Dow Chemical announced it will cease operations at its toluene diisocyanate production site in Freeport, Texas, during the second quarter, saying "manufacturing TDI there is no longer economically viable." The company, however, assured its North American customers of a "seamless transition" as Dow Polyurethanes has tapped an alternative source of TDI.
