Zale asks vendors to buy now, sell later

The move comes as the jewelry retailer struggles to find its financial footing, mulling offers from prospective investors amid an ongoing sales slump. The company's cash crunch has also impacted spending on ads for Valentine's Day and Mother's Day, two key jewelry holidays.
