CMS issues plans to expand Medicare competitive bidding

CMS has issued plans for expanding its competitive bidding programs involving certain durable medical equipment, orthotics, prosthetics and supplies. Suppliers feel the program, along with a 2.3% device tax, is squeezing the industry. The new prices are effective July 1.
