Israeli and Palestinian textbooks both present one-sided versions of history and current events, according to Israeli, Palestinian and American academics who conducted a study of the material. The Israeli and Palestinian textbooks have long been the subject of criticism, with some saying they each serve to demonize the other and are meant to incite hatred. "There's no hate speech. There is no incitement. There's selective narratives," Palestinian scholar Sami Adwan, of Bethlehem University, said.
