Italian supercomputer rates as the world's most energy efficient

The Eurora supercomputer in Italy has been rated the most energy-efficient one in the world, able to process 3,150 megaflops per watt. With a liquid cooling system, Eurora has 64 processing nodes, each equipped with two Nvidia Tesla K20 graphics processing unit accelerator cards, two Intel Xeon E5-2687W processors and an Altera Stratix V field-programmable gate array, among other components.
