Storm damage creates opportunity amid struggle to rebuild

Hurricane Sandy did significant damage to the three restaurants Amy Breidenbach owns. One is open again, but the two others must be repaired or rebuilt. While insurance might not cover all her expenses, she plans to rebuild anyway. Jerry Siegel, president of JASB Management, says the rebuilding could make the restaurants better than ever. Breidenbach can incorporate customer suggestions into the overhaul, and she can protect against future storms in the new designs, he says.
