Study finds large premium increases for some under ACA

Premiums for individual health insurance plans for young, healthy men are likely to rise as a result of the Affordable Care Act, though some will receive federal subsidies to offset some of the cost. A survey by the American Action Forum, a group that opposes the ACA, found premiums for an individual policy offering minimal coverage could rise 190% for a 27-year-old nonsmoking male.
