Wis. provider confirms potential data breach

River Falls Medical Clinic in Wisconsin announced a potential data breach that may have affected about 2,400 patients. The incident was allegedly caused by a member of the cleaning staff who officials say stole paper health records from the clinic's shredding bins. Compromised data included patients' names, diagnostic codes, birth dates and, in some cases, Social Security numbers.
