Energy consortium embarks on Alberta CO2 storage project

Enbridge is leading a consortium of 19 energy firms, including BP and ConocoPhillips, to develop carbon dioxide storage in Alberta. The group plans to spend about $758,000 in the next year to identify long-term storage sites in saline aquifers. Enbridge is separately considering a CO2 pipeline.
