Stimulus tax provisions would aid small outfits

The parts of the proposed economic-stimulus bill that most closely are linked to small business have to do with taxes. The bill proposes tax credits of $500 for individuals and $1,000 for couples; raising the small-business expenditure limit to $250,000 through 2009; and letting businesses count their losses from last year and this year against profits from the past five years.
