University of Texas to install artificial turf -- again

The University of Texas plans to install synthetic turf on its home football field. The home of the Longhorns had ripped up its artificial turf field in 1996 to replant grass but reconsidered synthetic surfaces as technology improved. "It's really, really good," said Longhorns coach Mack Brown. "It's much better than what we remember as AstroTurf."
