Army Corps expands California wetlands restoration

The Army Corps of Engineers will expand the Hamilton wetlands project from 645 acres to 1,600 acres. The agency committed $2.5 million to the restoration of the former airfield in Novato, Calif. The wetlands will create a habitat for fish, brown pelicans, salt marsh harvest mice and other species.
