Ky. bill for animal treatment on farms approved by Senate committee

A bill that would create a group to set animal-treatment standards for farms was approved by a Kentucky Senate committee on Thursday. A veterinarian said that some people are not familiar with agricultural practices, and there are standards for commercial livestock industries in Kentucky.
