Residents moan over unwanted trees

Residents in Glendale, Calif., are in an uproar after city officials used a third-party contractor to plant pine trees on private lawns without telling them. City officials are now considering a plan to relocate the trees. "We did make a mistake in not notifying people," the city's public works director says. "But we're really proud of our forest, and the ability to plant trees in this economy is something that I'm proud of. There's a lot of cities who can't plant trees."
