NBCT: Using Twitter-style storytelling to teach language

National Board Certified Teacher Bill Ferriter writes in this blog post about the benefits of teaching students to write 25-word stories -- a style he discovered on Twitter. Ferriter, a middle-school teacher, writes that 25-word stories help students consider their word choices carefully, while constructing a story with a clear beginning, middle and end. The brevity of the stories also allows them to be shared via text, he writes.
