Ohio exotic-animal law would ban new purchases

Ohio state Sen. Troy Balderson of Zanesville proposed exotic-animal legislation that would allow owners of exotic animals to keep those animals if they follow stringent new rules, but prohibit new animal purchases. The bill, which would not apply to zoos, research facilities and circuses, will be introduced this week.
