Higher type 1 diabetes risk seen with low vitamin D levels

A study in the American Journal of Epidemiology revealed white, non-Hispanic, healthy young adults who had higher serum levels of vitamin D were almost half as likely as those who had the lowest levels to develop adult-onset type 1 diabetes.
