Calif. carwashes that lack collective-bargaining agreements must post bond

A new California law increases the surety bond requirement for carwashes from $15,000 to $150,000 in an effort to protect carwash workers whose employers are found guilty of underpaying them or engaging in other mistreatment. Carwashes that have collective-bargaining agreements are exempt from the law.
