N.C. elementary school to add Mandarin to immersion program

A North Carolina elementary school this fall will add Mandarin to its language immersion program, which already includes instruction in Spanish. Plans call for teaching kindergarten through second grade students entirely in Mandarin, and third through fifth grade students in both Mandarin and English. Educators say the language immersion program helps set up students for success in their careers.
