Okla. district offers free ACT exams, increases awareness

An Oklahoma school district is seeking to increase participation in ACT exams among high-school students by offering the tests for free, increasing awareness about testing dates and ensuring that families learn more about the exams. The district also seeks to enroll more students in Advanced Placement courses. "It's mainly about getting kids to understand the need and the opportunity," said Rick Croslin, executive director of secondary education for Putnam City Schools.
