NEA Calls For End To Gay Harassment

The National Education Association tomorrow is expected to release a report urging public schools be made safer for gay students and employees. "People have a right to go to a classroom or work environment that's free of harassment, and that doesn't always describe U.S. schools," says Penny Kotterman, head of NEA's sexual orientation task force. A University of North Carolina study last year found 5% to 6% of students 17 or younger are homosexual.
