FDA expected to ban ephedra sales today

Ephedra is about to become the first dietary supplement to be banned by the FDA, with all traces of the item to be removed from store shelves by early April if the agency declares the ban today as expected. The supplement has been linked to 155 deaths and dozens of cases of strokes and heart attacks, spotlighted by the death of a major league baseball player.
