NP crusades to educate patients about UTIs

Nurse practitioner Mary Kay Tucker found that many of her patients were reluctant to discuss urinary tract infections. Tucker now hands out informational brochures to educate her patients about the myths that surround UTIs, especially the misconception that the infection is a sexually transmitted disease, and encourages dialogue.
