Upscale properties begin to embrace free Internet access

Free Internet access has started to slowly creep into individual upscale properties, the most recent one being the Hilton San Francisco Financial District. One industry study found higher-tier properties were the most likely to impose a fee for Internet access, although several upscale properties, such as Omni Hotels and Carlson Hotels Worldwide's Radisson Hotels & Resorts, have made free Internet access a brand standard.
