Medtronic gets FDA OK for pain treatment device

The FDA has cleared Medtronic's RestoreUltra implantable pain treatment system designed to treat chronic back and leg pain with focused electrical impulses. The device, which features a remote control to regulate stimulation levels at specific areas in the spinal cord, will be launched in the U.S. by February.
