Low vitamin D linked to cognitive impairment in elderly

Results of the population-based Health Survey for England 2000 found vitamin D deficiency raises the risk of cognitive impairment in the elderly. Researchers said seniors with the lowest vitamin D levels were more than twice as likely to have impairment as those with the highest levels.
