Mistrust causes minority women to delay breast cancer screens

Mistrust of the health care system causes many minority women, especially black women, to delay getting screened for breast cancer, new research says. Some 49% of women in the study agreed that "patients have sometimes been deceived or misled by health care organizations," and 39% of black women said they did not trust health care organizations to keep their information private.
