World Bank, IMF, WTO join Merkel in pushing world trade

In a remarkable show of unity, the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund and the World Trade Organization joined German Chancellor Angela Merkel in warning against provisions in economic-stimulus programs that could hurt world trade. The joint statement, also endorsed by the International Labor Organization and the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development, is a response to a "Buy American" objective in U.S. President Barack Obama's proposed stimulus.
