Former McDonald's execs create healthy dining concept

Oprah Winfrey's former personal chef, Art Smith, has partnered with former McDonald's executives to launch Lyfe Kitchen, a restaurant aimed at attracting consumers to healthier food offerings by playing up the foods' flavors and leaving off any references to "health food." Owners plan to open the first location in Palo Alto, Calif., this summer with the goal of creating a 250-store chain within the next five years.
