AMA ramps up fight against ICD-10 implementation

The American Medical Association has reinforced its fight against ICD-10 with a new call to HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius. The timing of the ICD-10 switch, which is required by Oct. 1, 2013, "could not be worse as many physicians are currently spending significant time and resources implementing electronic health records into their practices," the group said in a letter to Sebelius.
