Broadcasters raise concerns about FCC model for repacking

The Federal Communications Commission's release of an updated Longley-Rice model for TV station coverage, which will be used for repacking following the incentive auction, "introduces a new level of legal uncertainty as well as confusion about coverage areas and populations served by local television stations," NAB spokesman Dennis Wharton said. Public comments on the notice are due by March 21, with replies due by April 5.
