Capcom: Mobile games cost more to develop for new smartphones

Costs for developing mobile games can reach $1.1 million or more, in large part because of technology improvements in smartphones and tablet computers, says Capcom Chief Operating Officer Haruhiro Tsujimoto. The Japanese company, which created the Resident Evil and Street Fighter video games, got only 12% of its revenue from mobile games in the nine months ended Dec. 31, and is looking to improve that proportion.
