In general, the Dunkin' Donuts franchise likes to look for franchisees who are able to run at least five locations, according to Grant Benson, the brand's vice president of franchising and business development. However, that isn't always possible, he noted. The brand provides franchisees with funds to support their marketing efforts and, in certain cases, is willing to provide incentives such as reduced royalties. "We tend to discount those in some of our newer markets on a sliding scale," he explained.
