Experts ID chemical process that thwarts weight loss

Australian researchers found high levels of appetite-stimulating neuropeptides prompt the body to store as much energy as possible when a person is on a diet. The results demonstrate why weight loss can be difficult but may lead to drugs to help target and control the affected neurons, researchers said. The findings were published in Cell Metabolism.
