Live from NEC: Ethanol rose to 2012's challenges, Dinneen says

Between a historic drought and attacks from food and oil lobby groups, the U.S. ethanol industry faced new challenges in 2012, but it faced them all, Renewable Fuels Association President and CEO Bob Dinneen said. "In 2012, we produced 13.3 billion gallons of high quality, high octane fuel ethanol, representing 9.7% of the nation's motor fuel marketed in every state from coast to coast and border to border. We saw the first E15 station open up, a Phillips 66 Station in Lawrence, Kan.," Dinneen said at the National Ethanol Conference in Las Vegas today.
