NBC, marking a year before the start of its coverage of the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia, has unveiled some of its plans for the event. The network will launch its prime-time coverage Thursday, Feb. 6, on the eve of the Games -- the first U.S. media outlet to do so. The idea is to build buzz for Friday's opening ceremony and give sponsors an extra night. NBC Sports Group's Mark Lazarus said "ad sales are pacing extremely well," and he expects the Games to be profitable.
