NYC works to protect WTC construction site from flooding

For the next eight years at least, the construction site of 1 World Trade Center will remain exposed to the threat of flooding, according to this piece. The "Port Authority people and outside experts are looking at how to make the site more resilient," said Port Authority Executive Director Pat Foye. The 16-acre WTC site has open pits that flooded during Superstorm Sandy.
