Time Warner to boost original slate to meet demand from streaming services:

Time Warner this year plans to boost by 40% the number of episodes of its original shows on TBS and TNT to meet the growing demand for content from Netflix, Amazon and other streaming services, said John Martin, the company's chief financial and administrative officer. "This emerging back end for cable originals is very promising sign, since it should result in production values for cable originals getting even better over time," Martin said.
