Carlisle sees 46% climb in fourth-quarter profits because of strong sales

Carlisle's fourth-quarter profit reached $69.7 million, up by 46% compared with $47.9 million in the same period last year, according to these articles. Three out of the company's four business segments saw sales growth, pushing net sales to $724 million, up by 6% from $683.6 million in the previous year. Carlisle is now looking to acquire a new business after selling its tire segment to American Industrial Partners for $375 million, the Charlotte Observer reports.
