Ideas, resources for writing lesson plans

Noting there is no "right" way to plan a lesson, instructional coach Lily Jones has compiled in this blog post a number of links to online resources and templates to help educators write plans aligned with the Common Core State Standards. Her post includes the Teaching for Understanding Framework, using backward planning; a template that can be added to Microsoft Word; and a Pinterest board that features lesson-plan ideas. "When writing lesson plans, sometimes using a template can help focus you on components of lessons you may have overlooked," she writes.
