Movirtu's CloudPhone gives laptops, tablets a voice

Movirtu's CloudPhone software solution is designed to enable phone carriers to offer voice service on tablets and laptops via VoIP to compete with companies such as Skype. CloudPhone lets users ditch SIM cards by turning portable devices into virtual smartphones while cutting roaming costs, CEO Carsten Brinkschulte said, adding that operators could turn to CloudPhone as an alternative to small cells in areas with inadequate cellphone coverage.
